Intensive Physiotherapy whilst having fun!

With over 25 years of experience as a physiotherapist across both the NHS and independent sector, I specialise in neurological conditions and developmental challenges affecting children and young adults. My career has been driven by a deep fascination with child development and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with complex needs.
Over the past decade, I have expanded my practice through advanced training in hippotherapy, which has enabled me to work not only with children but also with adults with significant neurological conditions. I currently provide physiotherapy and hippotherapy within a residential home for adults with complex needs, offering tailored therapeutic interventions that promote mobility, engagement, and wellbeing.
Recently, I established an equine therapy centre that brings together hippotherapy, rebound therapy, and physiotherapy in a unique, holistic environment. Based at our home, the centre also offers boutique accommodation for families or individuals who may benefit from extended therapeutic stays. In addition to centre‑based sessions, I provide private physiotherapy services in homes and schools, ensuring flexible, accessible support for those who need it.

As Vicky’s husband and the general manager at FudgePhysio, I play an active role in supporting our therapy sessions and the day‑to‑day running of The Vauld. I partner with Vicky during hippotherapy by leading the ponies and helping create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere for clients of all ages.
I also oversee our accommodation and the general maintenance of the centre. I personally converted the original stables into our dedicated physiotherapy room and carried out the full renovation of the on‑site accommodation. My priority is simple: to make sure your time here is as comfortable, smooth, and enjoyable as possible. If there’s anything you need during your stay, I’m always happy to help.
We have three grown‑up children and have lived at The Vauld for the past two years. Before that, we spent many years fostering children, which has shaped much of our approach to care, empathy, and family‑centred support. I’ve been involved in hippotherapy for nearly a decade alongside Vicky, and it’s been a privilege to be part of the journey that led to creating our therapy centre.

Bluebell is our main therapy pony and is perfect for the role. An absolutely calm, patient pony, Bluebell tolerates all the various manoeuvre's and exercise's children achieve on her back.

Poppy is our much loved 'well being' Shetland pony. She has an amazing temperament and loves a fuss and cuddle!
